Swing era

The Swing Era, also known as the Big Band Era, was a period in the history of jazz and popular music that spanned from the early 1930s to the mid-1940s. This era is characterized by the rise of large jazz orchestras, known as big bands, which played a distinctive style of jazz music known as swing. Swing music was marked by its strong rhythm section, brass and woodwind sections, and arrangements that allowed for both ensemble playing and solo improvisations.
