Christoph Spendel is a German jazz pianist, composer, and professor known for his versatility across jazz, fusion, and classical music. He was born in 1955 in Bytom, Poland, and gained international recognition in the 1980s. Spendel has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Randy Brecker and Bill Evans, and was a member of the fusion band Special EFX. He also composes soundtracks for film and television. Currently, he leads the Christoph Spendel Group and teaches jazz and pop music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt.
